Q: How long will my session last?
A: By setting limit on time can put you under stress and you feel rushed and not relaxed. Therefore, there is no set time limit during headshot session. However, just to give you a general idea, a headshot session can run anywhere from 3-5 hours depending on number of looks and outfit changes.
Q: What should I wear?
A: Clothing options will be discussed in depth when you come in for your consultation. But in general the clothes you wear for your shoot should be simple and enhance your features and not take attention away from your face.
Q: What is the difference between a commercial and a legit headshot?
A: A commercial shot is one where the actor is smiling, friendly, and glowing with enthusiasm. Your smile is very important in commercial shots.
The legit shot is more focused, intense, and dramatic. Such photos are used for theatre, films, or television. It's generally a good idea to have both types of headshots available. We will be shooting both during your session.
Q: Is retouching included in the package? Who will retouch my images? Will I get to see the retouched image(s) before printed?
A: We understand how important your headshots are to you as an actor. That’s why all the retouching work is done very carefully in our own studio. Once you select the final image(s), minor adjustments (i-e cropping, retouching, and contrast and brightness) will be made to your image. Then the image will be e-mailed to you for approval. Once approved, we will set up name & add border and give you the final master retouched file on a CD for digital reproduction. P.S. Any color image(s) can be converted into B&W upon request.
Q: What about the make up?
A: You have few options here. You can come to the shoot with your hair and make up ready or you can do own make up at the studio if you are comfortable. Otherwise, a professional make up artist can be provided to you for an additional $150.00.
Q: I lost my master CD from the session, what should I do?
A: No problem! Just call us and we will burn you another CD at no cost.
Q: What if I need some 3/4 length shot, are they included in the session?
A: Yes, 3/4 length shots are also included.
Q: What forms of payment are accepted?
A: For your convenience, all major credit cards are accepted including MC, VISA, AMEX and DISCOVER. You can also make payments in Cash or by Money Order.
