A composite card (commonly known as comp card) is a model's or actor's commercial business card. A typical comp card consists of 4-5 different looks i-e headshot, 3/4 length or full length lifestyle, fitness, fashion, editorial or glamour shot. Before scheduling a shoot, it is important to decide on what types of different looks suit you and whether or not you would feel comfortable shooting and promoting those looks. Agencies like to see your comp card or your portfolio before they start promoting you. Because your compcard helps them understand which commercial market is most suitable for you. There are several important elements in creating a good comp card including outfit selections for each look, hair/ make up styling, use of props etc.
